Library Services
The Howard-Tilton Memorial Library offers a wide range of services for Tulane students. These include interlibrary loan, library and Internet workshops, and more.
Research assistance and on-site instruction is provided by librarians at the library's Reference desk, which is surrounded by a collection of print reference sources and more than 30 PCs for students to access library databases and online resources.
Walk-in workshops are another service example. With an increasing array of online information resources available both in the library and on the campus network, walk-in instructional workshops for the library catalog, Internet searching, and library databases are provided each semester at times and dates that are easy to fit into student schedules. No registration or sign-up is required.
While some university libraries limit services like interlibrary loan to use by graduate students and faculty, the Howard-Tilton library does not. Full interlibrary loan services are extended to undergraduates to enhance their involvement in the research process.
