Lost & Found
Library patrons who find personal items in the library are asked to return them to the Circulation Desk located in the first floor lobby of the library. Items of value such as wallets, money, or jewelry are kept in a safe in the Circulation area. If the item is labeled with a name or address, every attempt is made to contact the owner. Identification is required to claim items of value. Lost Tulane University photo IDs are sent to the Card Window at Bruff Commons.
Unclaimed Items
The library reserves the right to dispose of items that are not claimed from the Lost and Found after 30 days. Personal copies of books are sent to the Gifts and Exchange department. These books may be resold in the library book sale. Prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses, clothing and other personal items are sent to a charitable organization. Any other items are either recycled or discarded.
Do not leave your valuables unattended in the library. Label your books and other personal items. Report anything suspicious to the Circulation Desk staff.
