Architecture Library

The Architecture Library, located on the 2nd floor of Richardson Memorial Hall, houses standard reference materials in Architecture, Mondayographs on contemporary and historically eminent architects and their works as well as works on Landscape Architecture, building technology, energy, ecology, preservation and city planning. The library also houses current issues of Architecture and Architecture related journals plus prior issues for at least five years; issues not found in Architecture are located at Howard-Tilton Memorial Library.

Located in Jones Hall, the archive comprises the largest collection of architectural drawings and building records in the South.

School of Architecture

School of Architecture
Established in 1894, the school began by offering courses in architectural engineering. Today, students acquire a sensitivity to cityspaces with the architecturally rich New Orleans serving as a backdrop. With an enrollment nearing 350, the school has thriving degree programs in architectural design and preservation studies as well as exceptional classroom and studio spaces.
