Rare Books (Sixth Floor of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library)

As our first exhibit of the new year and in honor of the birth month of the Maid of Orléans, Rare Books presents Joan of Arc: From Orléans, France to New Orleans, 1412-2018. Curated by Jane Pinzino, this exhibit covers Joan's life and legend from her birth to the present day, with material drawn from our collections to show various historical and pictorial depictions of this well-known martyr and saint.
The exhibit will remain up through February and will be available for viewing in HTML's Room 604 during normal Rare Books hours (9-5, Monday through Friday); potential viewers may wish to contact Rare Books ( or (504) 247-1934) in advance of their arrival to be sure that the department will be open for visitors.
