About

Microforms & Newspapers was recently renovated, and features additional film/fiche readers, a user-friendly information desk, and expanded cabinet and office space. Our microfilm/microfiche printers and scanners enable patrons to read and print microforms; scan documents to a CD-ROM or a flash drive; and send the file to email accounts.

Featured Collections

Along with current newspapers and periodicals our department also includes collections of rare Louisiana newspapers and records; census records; historical, literary, and musical manuscripts; Latin American Library materials; United Nations documents; ACLU archives; as well as documents on slavery, government, folklore, and various other subjects.
