Library Hours Change

Due to an extreme staff shortage in circulation desk personnel, Howard-Tilton Memorial Library will be altering its building hours for the winter interim and spring 2007 semesters. Spring Hours 2007

  1. On Saturday, January 6, the library will now be closed.
  2. Effective Tuesday, January 16, the regular opening time for the library will be 8AM, moved back from 7AM. The library will continue to have a 7AM opening time during final exam and study hours period.

Recent retirements and job vacancies have reduced the number of staff in the circulation desk area from seven full-time employees to only three. While there are active searches for all open positions, it will take some time to fill them. In the meantime, the library will be using a mixture of full-time staff and students to keep the library open. This required a change to the building hours described above.
