What is Article & Database Finder?

Tulane Libraries now subscribes to over 500 research databases and 30,000 electronic journals, making it increasingly difficult to locate the most appropriate tools for your discipline. As a result, we see an over-reliance on non-scholarly databases such as Google and Wikipedia. The Article & Database Finder helps resolve this challenge by grouping similar databases together and allowing you to search in more than one database simultaneously, from a single, simple search interface. Features include:

  • Locate the best databases in your field by subject category or title - Find Database
  • Use librarian-created Quick Sets to search up to 10 scholarly databases at once - Quick Search
  • Login with your Tulane user ID and create custom database sets - My Databases (instructions)
  • Get to the full-text of articles using TU Link   TU Link
  • Export citations to RefWorks or EndNote. Use one of these programs to add references to research papers and create works cited lists.
  • Set up search alerts (instructions) that will regularly notify you of new publications in your field.
