Borrowing Books
For information on searching for books, see Online Tutorials. For help locating an item within the library, see the Call Number Floor Guide. If you can't find the book on the shelf, check the re-shelving carts on each floor.
Books must be checked out at the Circulation Desk before removing them from the library. Tulane students, faculty and staff may check out books with a Tulane ID card. If you are not a student nor affiliated with Tulane, you may have certain borrowing priviliges. For details, see Guest Borrowing. Publicly accessible computers are available throughout the library for searching the catalog. For more information on public use policies, see the Public Access Policy page.

Borrowing Reserve Books
All books on Reserve are available at the Reserve Desk. Reserve books circulate for 2 hours, one day or three days. These books must be returned directly to the Reserve Desk.
