Jefferson Parish, bordering Orleans Parish to the west, maintains a main library in Metairie and several branches.

Law Library of Louisiana
The Law Library of Louisiana is the library of the state's Supreme Court and is located in downtown New Orleans
on Loyola Avenue.
Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge
The LSU Libraries in Baton Rouge represent the state's largest publicly funded academic library collections.

New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
The John T. Christian Library of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is a specialized theological library.
The Library collection consists primarily of materials pertaining to theology, religious education, and church music,
but also includes materials from related fields.
