Google Scholar Settings for Tulane Users

Learn how to configure Google Scholar so you can access articles available from our subscription databases.

You don’t need a Google account to set your preferences for a single session. If you are logged into your Google acccount, your Scholar Settings will be saved.


Click on the hamburger menu icon.


 


Click on Settings.


In Bibliography manager, RefWorks and EndNote users can set a link to import citations from Google Scholar. Be sure to click Save.

From the Settings page, click on Library Links.


 



Type Tulane in search box to set up a connection to TU Link. Check the box next to Tulane to select it. For articles that aren’t already online, this setting will add a feature to search for full-text using TU Link using the Get full-text link the right of the result.




To get full-text from off campus, click on Get full text.
The TU Link page will open.
Click the link at Full Text Online [name of database or publisher]
The Proxy Server Login page will open. Login with your Tulane username (before the @) and your password. Successful login will take you to the full-text.
 




Under the article description, click the quotation mark icon. (The star will save to My Library.).

Copy and paste a formatted citation in MLA, APA, or Chicago style or import the citation into EndNote or RefWorks.
