Community Support Services & Resources for Tulanians

In the spring of 2023, many new laws and court decisions directly impacted valued members of the Tulane community.

We recognize that people will experience these actions, their discussions, and outcomes differently.

The Tulane Libraries EDI Committee developed this guide to share existing support services and resources for those navigating these challenging laws and court decisions and their socio-political impacts.

 

Mental Health

Employee Assistance Program

  • Tulane employees have access to webinars, onsite trainings, and mobile applications that can assist with work-life services, mental health & therapy, and professional training.

Immigration and Refugee Services

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans
  • provides a broad range of counseling and representation to immigrants and their families. We help clients understand the immigration law, learn their rights under the law, and to complete the immigration process successfully. Our staff includes attorneys, fully accredited Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Representatives, a case manager, and a staff translator.
Immigration Clinic of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice (Loyola University)
  • Provides legal representation and guidance for immigrants.
  • Provides monthly “Know Your Rights,” an immigration legal orientation program.
Puentes New Orleans
  • Identifies immigration and legal resources/services.
