HOWARD-TILTON MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Howard-Tilton Memorial Library is the heart of academic research and study at Tulane University, located at the center of the uptown campus in New Orleans. Spanning seven floors, the library offers seating for over 1,100 users, in addition to dedicated classrooms and specialized study spaces for faculty and graduate students. Howard-Tilton Memorial Library’s lower-level houses 10 classrooms and key academic support centers, including CELT, the Goldman Center, the Academic Learning & Tutoring Center, and the CAIDS. The entrance level features a lively Learning Commons with collaborative seating and a Boba Coffee Shop. The second and third floors provide quiet study areas, graduate study rooms, and a Knowledge Lab with research support. On the fourth floor, the Stone LAL shares space with the Phyllis M. Taylor Center and Library Classroom 430, a flexible event space. The 2016 expansion added upper floors with more study areas and Media Services, including a second checkout desk.
