Instruction Program
The Matas Library provides a wide array of information-related educational services in a library setting to Tulane University’s School of Medicine, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and Tulane National Biomedical Research Center.
Instruction can be requested for consultations, classes, faculty meetings, or any group in the Tulane Health Sciences community. Contact the Matas Library at medref@tulane.edu or (504) 988-5155 to schedule an instruction session.
Librarians will work with you to customize each instruction session. Commonly requested topics include:
- Matas Library orientation for new health sciences students/faculty/staff
- Literature search skills for a variety of databases
- Citation management
- Clinical decision support resources
- Discipline-specific resources
