Hidden Treasures of Mardi Gras: Tulane Unveils Surprising Carnival Materials

Ever wonder what’s tucked away in Jones Hall? Tulane University Special Collections (TUSC) is bringing some of its most unexpected Carnival treasures to the main library (HTML) for We Have That???, a pop-up exhibit on view Wednesday, February 11.  

Materials on display will include original float and costume designs, glittering court favors, and vintage parade throws. These items will appear alongside rare ball invitations, historic photographs, and more. On their way out, visitors can grab some TUSC swag and a complimentary Carnival treat.

For a lunch-hour escape, join us on Wednesday, February 11, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Room 430 of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library.
