Digital Initiatives has recently added three new collections to the Tulane University Digital Collections (TUDC), expanding access to materials documenting Louisiana history, Central American political history, and New Orleans music.

Eugene Cizek Slide Collection
This collection features digitized slides and posters documenting New Orleans architecture, historic neighborhoods, and preservation efforts from the 1960s to the present. The photographs highlight the work of preservationist and Tulane Historic Preservation program founder Eugene “Gene” Cizek and his partner Lloyd Lester Sensat Jr., including their Education Through Historic Preservation program, which engaged students in documenting historic sites across Louisiana.

Francisco Morazán Papers
Drawn from the personal archive of Francisco Morazán (1792–1842), a former president of the Federal Republic of Central America, this collection includes correspondence, personal documents, and financial records from a pivotal period in Central American history. The collection is particularly searchable thanks to transcriptions that were digitized and added to the manuscript records.

Hogan Archive Sound Recording Collection
This new collection brings digital audio from the Hogan Archive online. Its first recording is a 1953 souvenir LP commemorating the White House Correspondents Association Annual Dinner, featuring Oscar “Papa” Celestin and His Original Tuxedo Band, along with Congressman F. Edward Herbert, John Curren, and Bob Hope. Additional recordings will be added as they are digitized.
