"I'm honored to share that I've been appointed to the Board of Commissioners for the State Library of Louisiana," Cronk said. "Deep thanks to Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and State Librarian Meg Placke for this opportunity to serve. I'm proud to join these dedicated leaders working to advance libraries across our state."

Cronk’s Appointment

As a board member, Cronk will serve a five-year term working toward the State Library's mission to inspire and support literacy and lifelong learning for all Louisianans through access to information, strengthening communities, and preserving Louisiana's heritage. An internationally recognized leader in scholarly communication strategies, she has built a reputation for delivering impactful services to researchers worldwide. Her colleagues consistently praise her ability to transform vision into reality through what they describe as her signature blend of optimism, creativity, and pragmatism.

Under her leadership, Tulane Libraries supports student success through enhanced academic environments, promotes faculty productivity via research and publishing support, and advances textbook affordability initiatives. The libraries also engage the local community through digitization and community archiving efforts, embodying the mission to invite introspection and ignite imagination.

Lieutenant Governor’s Visit

During the visit, they explored several art exhibitions at the library. The lieutenant governor also provided Louisiana State Parks passes for Tulane students, offering free day-use entry for one car to any of the state's historic sites, parks, and preservation areas listed at lastateparks.com. Passes can be picked up by Tulane Students with their Splash cards at the circulation desk on the first floor of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. Available until the library runs out.
