Tulane University Libraries Elevates Digital Access with Alma Digital Platform

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Tulane University Libraries Digital Collections on the Alma Digital platform, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards a more integrated and accessible digital library experience. Since June 2023, our Alma Digital Implementation Team has worked tirelessly alongside Ex Libris to transition from Islandora to Alma Digital, seamlessly integrating our digital records with our library management system and discovery layer.

This new platform offers a centralized hub for various collections and initiatives, including the Tulane University Digital Library Open Access resources, Tulane Inside and out, Scholarship at Tulane, Tulane University Journal Publishing, Tulane University Libraries YouTube Channel, and Tulane University Online Exhibits. Noteworthy enhancements include a refined search scope within Library Search, the reunification of the Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Collection, and ongoing efforts to transition collections like the Louis J. Boeri and Minín Bujones Boeri Collection of Cuban-American Radionovelas. While some elements remain on our classic platform temporarily, we're committed to ensuring a smooth transition for users.

We invite you to explore our renewed digital collections and stay tuned for more exciting updates!
